markiod: i bought zbrush when it first came out. i dont really use it as much as i would like to. i only use it when i want to relax and have fun messing. i should really force myself to use it atleast once a week :/
i am going to try to stay in zbrush all day so we will see

hi dave, looks good
i know it's just a quick sketch but i think it would be improved by a couple of things- subtool spheres for eyes (if you fill the subtool with the material you're using for the rest of the tools there won't be the change in colour (top menu> color> FillObject with 'M' selected)
and use of the brushes i linked to in one of seths threads- i think it was the zbrush sketches one, not sure- the improved new smooth brush- newSmooth4 and the dam standard brush- the smooth brush is self explanitory- just acts more like the smooth in 3.0- and the dam standard cuts in a fine thin line used for detailing stuff
about time you put another Z sketch out there is i have to say lol

thanks guys
K-tonne:
yeah im not going to bother with subtools on this one i will be refining (or cocking it up) it a little though
i shall also look into these brushes although i being a creature of habit only use about 3. i shall be doing more zbrushing in the future though so you will not have to wait too long for me to put out again. and isnt it about time you stopped talking about zbrush and started posting some to inspire the peeps eh eh eh :)

Why does everyone do these creature things with zbrush?
I expect more from you mate. Or at least something different.
How about something beautiful and believable like this.

just noticed those are screen grabs
'information you probably already know but i'm going to tell anyway' alert
top menu> render> best (shadows, depth fog, antialiasing, bg environment setting in there too)
top menu> document> export to export the render to psd, bmp or tif
zdepth blur: top menu> alpha> grab doc (at bottom) gives you a greyscale distance blur type image with 'alpha depth factor' which you might want to note down if you're going into aftereffects or something

i'm sure the guy who did that sculpt would have done aliens and monsters if he'd thought of it lol
