How is this different to RE:Vision Effects' RE:Map plugin?

I've never used I don't know.
I think I remember reading that it can do normal maps too with real time lighting/shading/reflections.

Plus I didn't even realize Re:Vision Effects existed.
I knew of Zborns Toy which I thought was cool...but never needed it either.

The normal maps reflections trick is shown in that video, and I'm pretty sure RE:Map could do it too, since all it seems to be is a quirk of the way it responds to the information in the colour channels.

I'm gonna ask over there at that website what the diff. is.

Took a while for my post to show up and he kindly answered:

Mostly in price – it’s 120USD cheaper than their version. Youveelizer has a cool feature for ignoring the Blue channel which allows you to use only single render pass in some cases with a UV texture on a given element for easier compositing. Other than that Youveelizer is GPU accelerated. It’s a good question so I think I’ll do a blog post about it and maybe some additional tutorial

That Maltaannon site is pretty their tut's.
