Interesting synth tweaking there. Could definitely push it a lot further. Don't be afraid to destroy your songs. I do it all the time.

But you HAVE to delete those drums. Sounds straight out of a 80's Casio keyboard. I felt the same way about your previous songs. Like with the synth crit, go hard. Push them to breaking point (red lining).

P.S. I'm working on an album too, but I won't be posting it here, too NSFW.

Thanks guys! :)

herfst1: The plan isn't to delete the drums but rather to replace them later on. I might make my own with my trusty Virust TI 2 and sample the results to put into Groove Agent. This tune is still WIP. The way it is arranged at the moment might not reflect the final result :)

9krausec: Thanks dude! Like I said to herfst, the tune is still a WIP so the arrangement and structure of the song might change. I'll continue work on it as soon as I find more time. Hopefully tonight :D

I like the rhythm and design of the music, but I agree with herfst1, alot of the individual sounds remind me of stock fruityloops sounds. May or may not be a bad thing, but that's the first thing I thought of when I heard it, messing around with fruityloops 12 years ago :D

I'm using this badboy! :)

Here's a dude recreating the Blade Runner theme using a Virus TI 1 (Which he modified to be able to pull up the panel like he has it in the video)

I understand it's a WIP, and I love the fact you'd let us critique it (though, too many cooks spoil the broth, and all). Everyone works differently, hell every song I start differently (drums, or bass or atmosphere or etc). For me, when it's WIP stage I go crazy filling in the track with sound, then later I can cut away most of it and just keep the stuff I like. The best songs I've made were done (minus mastering) in less than 30 minutes, and that's the best feeling / most fun.

I made this tonight after hearing your track. It was subconscious, but it's kinda what I would do to your track.

Nice! Sounds awesome!
Though it is a totally different style than what I'm going for :)
How about you make a video of one of your sessions so I can have a look at your workflow? :)

Thanks. Uh, yeah I can make a video, but I'm not sure how useful it would be. My workflow is all over the place:

1. Start by either composing something on my guitar or keyboard, or not and just wing it.
2. Use Acid to record guitar, or reason to record everything else.
3. Everything is recorded live, sometimes with quantize turned on, sometimes with it off.
4. Listen on repeat and tweak.

[edit] oh yeah, everything's a first take as it makes for a more enjoyable experience (and faster one).

Awesome!
It really doesn't matter if it is useful or not. It is just fun to see screen-captures of folks producing. Everyone has their own style and way of messing about.
There's a group on Facebook called "Producers' Show Off Corner" where people just post these kinds of videos. They are usually called "No Tutorial, No Talking, Just Producing" or "Just producing" or something like that.
