Hi all,

Quick question.... Does anyone have or know of a site i can get a good tileable wood texture for a flooring (Planks)? I've searched the free textures thread and other sites and found no decent tileable images.

Any help would be great cheers.

Google - Images "Wood texture". There are many out there.

EDIT: Damn, I missed the chance to post "Google has wood".

ay jimbo, that'll do a treat i rekon. just taking in photoshop now to tweak will let ya know how it looks in max.

Nik, i did a quick google search but found nothing tileable that was what i was after. In fairness i maybe wrong i only searched google briefly as my eyes were hurting from trailing through 100s of images from the free textures link on here.ha.

Thanks again.

With the scale of the grain, that image would have planks about 20mm wide.

Sooner or later you'll notice that in this business you may have to learn how to turn raw photos into tileable textures. Most texture-sites offer just that. Raw photos of surfaces. Its up to the artist to make them tileable or not. :)

Cgtextures ftw. Really has all you need. Take it into PS, offset by half width and height, use stamp and healing brushes to fix seams
