Works fine under XP 32-bit but I get an access violation under 7 64-bit.

Right-click > run as admin solved it.
That UAC thing is a real pain.

Gamma 2.20. I'm happy :)

pretty sure that's the baked in gamma of the monitor...

ie all of them will be 2.2

except for apple monitors; that'll be at 1.8

2.2 is just the translational target that most panels produced these days aim for, doesn't mean its correct though, after calibration you could have better image quality with some other value slightly off 2.2. So basically there is no "correct" gamma, it depends on the panel.. could be 1.5 or 4 or whatever it was built for.

depends on what your doing too... when i do photoreal gamma 2.2, cartoon gamma 1.0

fun times with rich colors and super blacks :P
