Wirestrap from image (it explains everything) Would anyone know technique way to do this? -- courtesy by Denis Denis Lebedev in "Making of it's going to rain' in 3dtotal.com tutorial.

There are a couple of maxscripts that would be suitable for this. I think one is called wire-bundle, adn the other wirebundler.

Wirebundler? I understand this script could only skip through multiple geometries, not warping around single geometry several time? Unless I am wrong?

If I had to do that I'd use a line. Do one loop; duplicate, move and rotate it slightly (x6), attach them all to an editable spline, add a ffd modifier and pinch the loops where you want the knot. Then make a knot to hide your bodgy work.

No problem. To be honest, I'm surprised it worked so well for you, I was just stabbing in the dark, really.
