Wire Parameters and the Clone Plugin
show user profile  LionDebt
Not sure if anyone here uses the clone plugin but I've made a pretty cool way to instance bricks or any sort of random repeating object, for drystone walling, clay brick walls etc...

But... it doesn't work!

I want each cloned object's > Noise modifiers' > "Seed" to be equal to the cloned object's > Clone modifier > "Amount" number. Uniquely.

currently if I clone the base item 15 times on the x axis, each noise modifier uses "Seed" 15, and they don't look very randomised. I'm sure I've done something like this before in the past but can't remember how..

Anyone shed some light for me?

Edit: placing the noise modifier above the clone modifier is a cheap way of doing what I want, since it modifies the entire object, but - it is less random in that sense since the entire object is conforming to the same noise mod, whereas I want each individual one to be deformed equally - just using a different seed.
