Wire Parameter

Thought I would dive in and ask a question that’s really puzzling me.

I have modelled a tracked vehicle that follows a path. The tracks are animated separately with a single Attribute holder per side and the wheels and track wired in.

The problem I have is the tanks speed along the path is constant with no acceleration or retardation, but when I animate the track to try and match the speed it animates with an advance and retard curve. As a result my tracks only move at the right speed at the mid point of the path?

Is there any way of changing the speed of a Wired animation?

There must be a way! :)

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but have you tried setting the keys to linear in the track view? Or assigned a float bezier controller to the path constraint?

Hi :)

When I click in the component that holds the Attribut holder and use the spinners to animate the tank track, nothing appears in Track View. I suppose if I click on the animated components I could edit them? Will have a go.

Not sure how to do the assigned float controller, but will try that too.

Cheers for the advice :)
