Windows 7 Pro, and 3D MAX 2011 "run as administrator" problems
show user profile  bjpdk
Hi there.

We have a major problem, and i hope someone can help.

We are working in a domain, and everytime we are working in Max 2009/2011 we have to rigthclick, and "run as administrator". How can we get rid of that? It is not an option to be local administrator (the hidden one) we have to stay on the domain for file sharing.

Is there any way around the annoying problem?

Kind regards

BJ

It sounds like your domain policies are wrong.

You need max to run as administrator? What happens if you don't?

If we dont run it with administrator rights then we can't run custom scripts...

yes. sorry. Some guys at the company have made some scipts. The admin has some problems to run them on the machine. He finally manage to get the in to max by moving them to the map, removed the write protection of the folder, and thenhe run the batch file. Now we can see the script in the menu, but if we try to run it, it will fail. But when we start up in "run as administrator" it starts without any problems.

(sorry for my bad english)

you can enter the shortcut properties and make the program start by default with run as admin so it shouldnt be so much of a problem
