WIN7 update KB3011780 screwed up my ADOBE collection
show user profile  joelr
hello all,

just updated my win7 with the latest update KB3011780.

and since then none of my adobe CS5 collection products is loading.
the only adobe program that is working is lightroom (and a good thing too).

did this happen to any of you guys?

anyway, if you have an adobe collection and win7, you should be aware of this happening to me.

i tried system restore but didn't help. also tried looking up Google for this problem with no help.

There was an update on the 12th this last week. It took a shit all over the VFB for Vray 1.5 for Rhino. Thing froze up, wasn't responsive and I couldn't work at all within the VFB.

We had to wipe the computer clean and start from fresh at work. Installing Maya/Adobe Cloud/Rhino/Solidworks/EPDM/and a slew of plugins over again.

Annoying as shit, but the VFB is working now.

It's a known thing. The Silverlight update killed part of the Creative Suite, apparently.

S&@t... Never had these big problems with the update so far, at least not on win7.
You know of any solution besides uninstalling and installing again the whole thing?
It's a half day waisted. I'm gonna send the bill for my lost working hours to MS

I just let win 7 download updates automatically and install when the pc is shutdown.. Not sure of what specific updates were installed but had a couple of them install over the past few days.. Not had any issues with any CS/CC stuff ( fingers crossed! ).

Photoshop has been a pita all day long. I have windows 7 pro and it did an update yesterday. that is probably what did it. They were all complaining at work because i couldn't get my prints done. Now i know why.

Thanks Microsuck
