Who here likes to texture?

I was just wondering if there was anyone that had texturing as their favorite between modeling, texturing, rigging, animating and rendering? The reason I asked is that I just got done modeling the side decal for my z28 and it took me 3 hours just for the one decal (I am very new at photoshop and probably am doing everything the slow way. I was pulling my hair out every step of the way). Between modeling and texturing, modeling is defiantly my favorite. So tell me, what is yours and why?

Doing this just for fun.....My favorites in order of best to most horrible are

Modeling, Texturing, Rendering, Animation, Lighting, Rigging, UV's

because Rigging is hard and UV's make my eye ball hurts

now UV's deal with texturing right? As far as creating Uv's to texture in a photo editor later, unless I am not aware of something that makes Uv's its own separate thing... I have only used the UV unwrap modifier thus far and have no idea what the other uv mods do but what application do uv's serve other than texturing?

Character modeling, texturing , lighting, hard surface modeling, UVW Unwrapping, rigging, animating.

The first time you texture something, it will take a long time mate, its just expected. You will get better and better, faster and faster as you go. If you want to just do decals, use the UVW Map modifier instead and learn how to use different channels that way you can just as eg. place a tattoo on your characters textured arm and move it around it scale it til it looks right. Decals are much the same on cars, however easier.

If you really really hate UV unwrapping and what not, then you can look into Deep Paint 3D or something like that which can help you unwrap it and texture it in 3D. Im sure Photoshop cs4 has similar tools however i havent used them in awhile since most architectual stuff that I do is just tiled textures anyway - adjusted with uvw map.

Theres many many ways of doing things - it just takes awhile til you find a method that suits you and what your currently doing. IMO car decals just use the UVW modifier plus i seen a great autodesk video of texturing cars in the 2009 release - check it out on their website its a sinch.

My preference would be;
Lighting, Texturing, Animation, Rigging, Modelling... i dont like UVs... at all. havent found a method that works nice for me but theres programs around. good luck.

I am just wondering... What does "IMO" mean? I have been seeing that a bit on the forum and am kind of lost... please help me with this dilemma...

I love creating textures using my Wacom. I love every aspect of 3D work except for rigging and skinning. Rigging I especially hate.
