Where to Buy Vray
show user profile  npcph
So i tested a couple different render engines and am going to go with Vray. I see that you can not just buy it on their website and they just give a list of vendors. I'm in northeast Ohio and was looking to see where a good place to buy it from. Anyone able to point me to a good vendor?
thanks
Phil

I'll sell you some V-Ray... meet me behind the alley in 10 minutes. Come alone.

We make all of our Chaosgroup purchases through Novedge -http://www.novedge.com/

They've been dependable for us. Probably tit-for-tat anywhere else you go though.

Hey bolts... i was in the alley waiting for a while. where were you?

I saw the list, just looking if there was anyone that was recommend. And since the whole "vray back alley deal" fell through, i'll give a call to LNA.

I went to the wrong alley... I didn't sell any V-Ray, but now I have a small handgun and half an 8-ball of cocaine.

i only like large handguns like my hero "Sledge Hammer" and i never buy anything that has been opened and doesn't have the security seal on it INCLUDING an 8-ball.

trinity should be just fine. Any place really, it doesn't matter to much. In ohio trinity might be easiest.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to figure it out today and get it ordered.

@ Strat.... thought i would be the only one who remembered that show. Don't think it was on very long. But was funny... at the time. My wife and kids constantly tell me that i remember the weirdest and most obscure crap.

You may want to get the version that comes with the render nodes if you're going to
set up a farm. Might be cheaper than buying nodes later.

anyone use pheonix? they have it as a combo with vray and i was thinking about adding it on if it is a worthwhile plugin to have. Some of the work i am going to do will have firepits and water features so could come in usefull. Just want to make sure it works well

I've been using it for Maya. Works great. Haven't used any other fluid sims so I couldn't speak to them.
