where on earth have all the drunk posts gone?
show user profile  Bolteon
i certainly don't get nearly as... how should i say this, drunk...

there used to be a large (read: less then .2) percentage of posts on here celebrating the fact that we can drink and be a great community of talented individuals.

now, i'm all near married and quiet frankly; i should probably drink a bit less over the next decade of my life (can you believe that bolts is almost 30?) but that being said, i'm going to pour a drink out right now in cheers of this place....

cause gosh darn it... it's been too long (thank god my gf is asleep).

Actually.....Bolts.......WTF have all your FB posts gone?

Used to be a running hourly narrative of your excessive. opportunistic, gym rat, club hopping, trend setting nothing.

What gives?

call it part social experiment, part opportunistic situation.

all i know is that i'm still sipping my vodka, i'm in mf chat and manny hasn't responded to my reply in an hour. that and i'll likely get stupid rich off of what i'm learning.

Lol, drinking starts this afternoon. Taking the wife to a smoke-house restaurant. Much beer and wine will be drunk.

I've given up alchohol :/ As of the new year.. It wasn't a resolution as such, just something i felt i had needed to do for a long time *shrugs* But i'm 34 and have four kids, i guess my pov is slightly different..

Next step is reduce sugar intake and start getting some 'regular' exercise.. Prob be next year before i get to that at this rate..

Replace your car with a bike, like I did!
Cycling to work and back soon gets you into shape.

I haven't given up alcohol, but I've cut down massively in the last year.

I've recently given up booze during weeknights. i've also taken to walking the dogs 5 miles per day during week days. We're also stricktly on fresh fruit'n'veg and no processed/takeaway food. Yet, i'm still a fat bastard.

I've always found alcohol waaay overrated. If I drink, it's to be sociable (i.e. going with the flow, trying to get the girl lubricated for an easy pop). If I want to have a good time by myself (as in not have a wank) then the last thing I'll do is have a quiet drink. There are better drugs.

[edit] oh yeah, I have the same views about marriage.

I'm working part-time in a bar and have been getting regularly shitfaced for the past 6 months. Kinda takes the thrill out of it, y'know.

Currently doing a 'no-booze february' (sober october had a wedding and a large party, and january was pretty much recovery from new years).

When we go out drinking we'll end up in a club or back at a house party until the sun rises. Sorry, I can't quite bring myself to ask a friend if I can go online and quickly post something on this funny little website which I frequent.

Next time though, if I'm not spilling too much kebab debris and garlic sauce all over the place I'll attempt bashing my keyboard for you guise.

^3 cheers for the service industry LD.

Ever since I got my job last May I haven't really drank all that much. Don't go out on the weekends either to do activities. Too much to get done right now so I'm sort of a lame duck at the moment.

Good suggestion Herfst. Sure that'd put a pep in my step. As long as it doesn't last for more than 4 hours so I don't need to consult a doctor.
