seems just like a bunch of PNG's in sequences, triggered by user input and loops.

...you didn't bother looking at the source... did you?

So technically, the technology driving it is... Javascript.

I did, I was hoping there would be some kind of app / wizard to build these things...although it does look a bit dated.

I was replying to Joey.

Doesn't really need a wizard does it? The only thing that makes that site more special than a regular site is that it uses JavaScript to update containers (I'm guessing this part) like DIV's with frames from a sequence.

What are you looking to do exactly?

//edit

I don't know if I'd call the approach dated... the Copyright is 2016 on the site. My guess would be that there isn't a need to do this in a more complicated way than is being done on the site.

You can do a lot with some animated PNG's, trust me.

that site is slow and boring : ( loading screens for gifs?

I was hoping for some sketch-fab wizardry or something

I did look at the source code.

You can write javascript in Flash and export as HTML content.

http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs6-creative-cloud-feature-tour-for-web/creating-javascript-in-flash-professional-cs6/

The approach is still dated. Try viewing on your phone.

...just cause someones implementation isn't done well, doesn't make something dated.

From the JSMovieClip site:

"JS movieclip is a small javascript library to quickly and easily create, integrate, and control animations in an HTML page.

It is compatible with all browsers, from Internet Explorer 6 to latest smartphone (iOS, Android..)."

OK. Maybe it's poor implementation.

Damn. It makes me sad to see websites in 2016 still all two dimensional and shit... if only there was a way... We live in a 3D world, why do we browse these stale and flat image based websites... There's a whole dimension we're not utilizing.

Someone wanted some work doing 'in the style of' , he pointed me to that site, I introduced him to Sketchfab, shit's not 3D unless you can alt rotate.

That sites dull and slow, poorly implemented and *looks* dated... regardless of what's driving it.

You guys are funny.

SketchFab is a tool... not a platform (or god forbid, an implementation).

Well, it didn't loaded for me. No matter how fancy it is. It's not worth it. Whatever is that site about. I'm sure they don't have a lot of traffic on it.

Congrats, you found my signature.
