What do we all do for a living?
show user profile  Bobbyboy
So, I was just wondering who here is living the dream, doing 3d for a living? is it great or not so much? If your not, what are you doing, and are you looking to break into the industry or simply looking to keep it a hobby?

I'm turning 21 in June, I live in outback Queensland Australia and work in one of the biggest warehouses in the southern hemisphere as a high reach truck driver.

I've been learning 3d since I was 11 / 12 years old, starting out with CAD and slowly moving more into the art side of things.

I've got 1 year left in my traineeship before I will more than likely be let go and be looking for another job. Hopefully I'll be able to find something working with 3d (what i wouldn't give for a job i could actually enjoy! :S)

So, that's me, what about the rest of you guys?

I drive AP around and drop him off in what we like to call the Satelite(sic) hotzones. In my downtime I do some work for a startup game company. Fingers crossed.

Terribly boring signature.

I work in a company producing educational computer-based learning materials. I am a technical author and a graphic designer. I get to research science and technology subjects, write about them, and produce images and animations about them. I also train people to use Max and Photoshop. I’ve been doing this for the last 14 years. By night, I tackle crime with my side-kick.
