There`s so much quality work in there mate i wish i was as consistent :)

Regards the site itself, it`s not really saying much other than that you do 3d and here`s some pictures of it.. Personally i`d be looking for the front page to sell your services at a glance - ie more content / info / etc without even have to click further into the site. That`s my take on it anyway, i`m building my own site at the moment and the idea with it is rather than market as a freelancer or simply an `artist` im saying look this is a business, we produce creative marketing and advertising collateral, lots of info on that, basically sell sell but also points of reference for potential clients that might be in the market but don`t exactly know the terms or what it is specifically they`re looking for..

As i said that`s just my take on what a site should achieve, not everybody will have the same outlook as myself and many people will prefer to look at an artists portfolio simply as it is!

To add to what dave already said, I always say this about every portfolio I see:
I don't want to know who you are before I know what you do.
The homepage text could easily be incorporated in the gallery page

Also for the contact, unless you want your clients to strictly be from your country, you should include an international phone number. If not for the outside residents to call you, then at least to know what the hell that number means :D

I like your website a lot. If I had to crit on anything I think your gallery and contact buttons should be right in the center of the screen and VERY obvious. I'm embarrassed to say, it took me about ten seconds to find where to click (obviously I don't browse enough web pages), though I'm sure I'm probably the only one who had this issue.

Thanks for the comments guys!

ScotlandDave - thanks for the input and the kind words also :)

horizon - Can you give an example of what would be on the homepage that would tell you what I do? The page is all 3d and pretty much what I do now. Would a model or a wireframe be more informative?

herfst1 - Those buttons have been there so long I don't even think about them but I can see how you could miss them, thanks.

There's a lot I'm not happy with especially the copy on the home page.
Also, when mousing over an image I get a hand which makes me think it should give a larger version of the current image and not go the next image. Also links to the animation sites don't stand out enough.

I'm going to start a list of things to change.

Anyone else have any comments or crits?

Joey, your work is amazing!

1. As far as the website goes, I personally don't like the idea of an intro page. It is one extra click to get to the stuff that I came to the website to see. If you don't have something to catch attention on the first page, 90% of people won't continue on to the rest of the site.

2. Your contact info should be very visible and easy to find.

3. The Gallery pictures have no navigation "next image" indication. It was not clear that clicking the image would take me to the next one.

4. (edit) and maybe some social media navigation buttons.

Hope that helps.

Ah, I remember when I thought websites should be an interactive painting too.

Hmmm somehow looks like a website made by a teenager :( I don't like the intro page. I would surely keep nice simple colors.

The dark, army kind of font doesn't go at all. The overall gloomy look spoils the feel while watching the gallery images. + the gallery could have been better to look / scroll at.

Sorry to be so blunt. But, that's what I feel.

Ok let me rephrase that. I don't want to know who you are before I see some work you've done.
Saying I do 3d means nothing to me, and having a 3d frame around your name even less.

First page should be your work, that's all

page, smage.

you do 3d, your site is flat. this makes no sense to me.

I want to teleport straight into world of joey.

I want a virtual joey to come up & introduce himself to me with a thick new yowuk accent.

even a fairly basic immersive gallery with renders in it & a plack with your details on it would be a step forwards imo.

might make you a mock up if that's ok.

what you have is fine for a basic html site. sure you could bash it about, but ... meh.

Thanks again!

ibenez - thanks for the comments. I'm going to do a bunch of those things you mention.

Stephen R - or is it Bryan C? I'm listening. Care to share what you think would look cool?

Girish - I guess you don't like anything about the website. Oh well. I was really trying to make something that didn't look like...well...your website :D

horizon - yes sir! right away sir!

AS - a mock up? Cool! I'd love to see it.

Joey - My site is one of most simplest I could ever make. My goal was to get a site. I am planing to move over to Wordpress. But I lack the advanced skills required to get a wordpress site. I can get the blog work, but not the site. I built that site with MS frontpage :P :))

My only idea behind it was, its looks a bit kiddish and not so real. Did not mean to go harsh or anything.

I really like kb's website, wonder how he has done it.

Wordpress is where i`m at atm - managed to get it installed and testing locally, basic theme running, and developing/testing offline with dreamweaver. I know dreamweaver isn`t really required but it`s more unified and funtional than a ton of notepad documents all over the desktop..
