Someone had mentioned before that they had changed things from the old PLE (Personal Learning Edition) to a version without watermarks and limited to 1080P resolution.

This is it, figured it should be a bit more openly displayed since I (a Nuke user for the past 9 years) didn't even know about it.

Right, but it REQUIRES Quicktime, it won't start without it. Fuck that.
It was reported months ago and they haven't done shit to resolve the issue.

QuickTime is fine if you never use it. AE requires it as well to access its codecs. Just install and dis-associate the MIME for everyting except QuickTime files.
