Awesome Matt, real nice.... it would take me 2 months to unwrap that!
Are you going with this one?

With the introduction of demons, i'm hoping to see a lot of Daiblo inspired stuff this year. I would take part but i'm focusing my minimal free time on generic crap that I can throw on TS :)

You've got brass balls to consider modelling that bad boy Matty, it's a pretty nice idea. More sketches to come I assume?

Quick lunch break update; some arms and trying out a different pose.

Yeah Dave I'm concerned about the complexity as well - but I think that with a sufficient amount of reference material, and a schedule which allows 3-4 weeks for modeling, I can actually get it done. Knock on wood.

Holy cow where did you pull that from? Looks nice. I must admit I am a little impartial to Zerg looking creatures :P

Awesome! This looks really Zergish, but zergs are very cool.

Be carefull that you don't make a total ripoff though ;D

Yeah I'm starting to see that might be a problem...If I work on some alternate arm designs, getting rid of the forearm claw thing, think it would help? Maybe a different color scheme? I think it will naturally get less zerg-y as I work out the details.

New sketch: is it less zergy or more zergy?

This sketch omits the forearms and claws, still trying to wrap my head around that area.

I'm considering removing the "upper face" and just going with the 'Alien' large-forehead look. Because it really looks like a Zerg head and it's pissing me off. I was going for 'Preying mantis' but its just not working.

Sorry man, I did not mean to jack your thunder. Nothing wrong with Zerg looking :) I make a living off of it.

No worries JB, the zerg look is getting away from my original concept - now I'm back to 'preying mantis-style' and I'm fairly pleased with it.

Matt, love the last face.

Have you considered adding a crab claw or making it centaur- like? ;)

Still working on this, I want to skip straight to modeling so hard, but I know its easier to work out the details in 2d first. Trying to work out those details...
