Vue or Terrgen ?
show user profile  Speedy
I just completed modeling Aircraft, I d like do render where aircraft flyby through tallest snowy mountain peak or aircraft that fly over cloud during dawn or sunset. \

I hear, Terragen or VUE might do job, they can even export HDRI. I also heard negative impact about both software too. With your help based on your experience, which one of those is convenient to use, provide clear and simple procedure on developing scene I wanted without complication or etc.

I would say Terragen by far.

But then again, I am biased - I hate Vue's interface!
After using them both, I bought Terragen because I liked the clouds better.

I guess not so many uses Terragen or Vue.... I won't be surprised, I can obvious understand that.

I have tried both... Terragen is nice, I love those clouds and all, but setting are very confusing. scene I simpler would be nice.. it got lot of bugs that hasn't been fixed since... Also I hate that old crappy color picker it doesn't work well in window 7.

The Vue sucks big time, crappy interface and clouds like dub say, for some reason it slows down Max and seldomly crash max badly, I am running i7 with 16gb memory. Not only that, it don't work well with VRay.

Instead of Terragen or Vue, is there any type of "cloud generator or scene generator?? "
