VRay and Render Passes for After Effects
show user profile  carrrottt09
Hello all,
I am completely stumped. I can not seem to render elements properly from 3ds max 2018 as either .exr or rpf for compositing in AE. The render passes look fine in 3ds Max.
I can render the individual elements, but they will display as black with no alpha if each pass is a separate file (both max and AE are set to 32 bpc).
If I try to include the elements as multiple channels in a single file and use EXtractoR, it doesn't recognize any of the embedded passes.
I've looked through Chaos Group's documentation with no luck, they stop with instructions at the point of rendering out the passes themselves.

Are you saving the render using the vray dialogue (not the max one)?
