Rob,

Just a guess, but it looks like you have not assigned a vray hdri map into the environment slot (hotkey 8)... and if you have assigned the map, you have not put an hdri image into it. hope that helps : )

Did you set up the render settings also? I.e GI. That tutorial does not cover render settings only HDRI lighting. What does your HDRI map look like?

It seems the VraySun is super bright so there is now exposure control. Feel free to send me the file and I will take a look for you if you are lost.

Hi James,

I've sent u a email to contact (AT) mintviz.

If you did have chance to look at my file, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

Hi,

Your lights were not bright enough, and you were not using Gamma 2.2. Your multipliers for the dome light and HDR image were better suited for gamma 2.2 rather than what you had. So I just adjusted the Vray colour mapping gamma to 2.2 and enabled Vray Frame buffer.

Or you can stick with gamma 2.2 and increase the multipliers but you will have to adjust the camera exposure to suit.
