vray lens file
show user profile  3joez
I need to match in vray the distortion of two cameras: markII and 60D. I'm looking for vray lens files. Have you guys ever used it? Do you know where can I find them(obviously I don't have the real cameras to calibrate the lens profiles, so I have to plug them in the lens slot under distortion tab).

I could be wrong but the camera is just going to give you the sensor size info. For the lenses you will need to know what lenses are attached? Unless I'm mistaken.

I don't think there's a library of lenses, you'd have to do it on your own. Or find someone who has the lenses you want to profile, and hope they are generous enough to print out and take a photo of the chart for you. -

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.I'll survive with the distortion, I guess. But someone should do it, sooner or later. I wrote to chaos too, anyway. Let's see.

I generally take the lens distortion out of the image through the lens correction filter within Photoshop first, then take that new image into Max.

Yes, I know I can do the other way around, troyr. But sometimes you don't have exif data(i think) to tell photoshop which lens and camera model were used. I've written to Chaos, and those files don't seem to exist.
