vray Lens effects problem
show user profile  mike_renouf
Hi folks. I've got a scene which I use for testing material settings (part of the Grant Warwick vray course) and it came with vray lens effects set up already in it. I've since decided that I want to turn the bloom and glare off, as they process at the end of every render and slow my workflow down.

I've turned the lens effects off, and even deleted them from the post processing tab, but they're still operational.

I can tell this because with a blank black frame buffer, if I render a small region of a material, once its done the surrounding pixels have a glow added to them. Also, the render elements "Bloom Mask" and "Glare Mask" are still generated, even I've deleted them from the Render elements tab...!?

Any ideas how to turn this frickin' thing off properly? I've tried turning off and on again ;)

Cheers,
Mike

I've not really used the lens effects much. Maybe try asking on the Chaos forums?

Fixed (in a way). I saved all my vray settings in a preset, then I just changed render engine to scanline, then back to vray. I reloaded the preset after switching the engine back and that's got rid of the bloom/glare.
