Viewport video background realtime ?
killerbee2
Is there a way to have the background of a viewport displaying a video in realtime + scrubbing instead of waiting ridiculously for an update ?
I can't imagine a reason why it shouldnt be nowadays...

Nope.
Shit, isn't it? I've tried everything I have, and raised it with Autodesk. It seems that you and I are the only ones that find this to be a pain in the ass.

I could drop a video in the background of our real-time shader viewport - I think (haven't tried it yet), however it would just play on a continuous loop. Not sure that would be of any use to you.

It needs to be synchronised with the playback slider.
Achieve this, receive karma.

Sounds doable - I think.
I need to get our next build completed then I'll take a look. ETA - one week to let you know one way or the other.
