Viewport suddenly shows objects as wireframe, not solid
Max started doing a weird thing today. I'll be working on an object and suddenly all of the viewports go to a wireframe where every object has an X across it. I haven't tried a whole bunch of tests but it has happened when I have tried to change the view from right to left, for example.
Note that I am trying to view it in shaded mode. It doesn't work properly there or on realistic mode. All modes look the same.
Resetting does not fix it. I have to close the app and reopen it.
I'm running 3ds max 2013
I appreciate any solution you can provide. This is totally weird and a problem.

It suddenly happens and it does it in all four view ports. I don't think I am disabling or enabling anything, that is, I'm not making any stray clicks or button pushing. I can't even find out what this view is called. It's not your standard wireframe as far as I can tell.

" I can't even find out what this view is called. It's not your standard wireframe as far as I can tell."
Screenshot of the issue would help in that case.
Something like this?
If so, click this button:
I meant "Adaptive Degradation" btw.
