Viewport canvas bug?
show user profile  Busted Ed
Hello guys I'm trying to paint a model of mine with viewport canvas but it isn't working correctly.
This is what's happening:

The brush will draw those lines and doesn't paint on the specific point it should. The UVs are done correctly so I don't understand why this is happening, any ideas?

For no apparent reason though, when I quit the canvas tool, the texture suddenly appears as it should have been:

Edit: Ok, it appears this happens when the texture size is bigger than 2048. Is there any way to solve this?

Not sure how to resize (still waking up) except maybe making sure everything fits inside the UV box, but I don't like viewport canvas, prefer zbrush, or 3dCoat or Mudbox, or dDo, or (forget that other one that starts with "m," still waking up), or even photoshop.

If you have access to any of these programs I'd give one of them a shot.

I've tested it, and it seems to be due to the size of the texture, so I just gave up on it. I'll be using photoshop, since I don't have those programs.

Thank you for the response :)

are any of the UV's overlapping at all?- i can see some are really close when i zoom in, but so close the resolution doesn't show exactly
head and torso and the head and the left arm could be touching
