video post problem

when i come to video post my scene, i set it all up and when i hit render, the render window just stays black and there is no movement in render time or anything, i have restarted max and my pc but it still does it, any clues?

Can you explain or show us your video post setup? If you don't get things in the right order, it doesn't work.

i think i have it set up correct,

not sure if you can really see that?

You could render out the different cameras, then use the image sequences instead of the renders. Your setup looks ok, I can't immediately tell what's wrong, sorry.

Do you have lights? do you have matte/shadow material on your objects (it doesn't look like it). Which rendering engine are you using? Is it actually rendering a frame and it is all black, or is it not rendering at all?

Can you post a file?
Is your environment color set to black? (hit 8 and check the color under global lighting) White may help.

oh iv sorted it! for some reason it seems like it was caused by the gamma settings!
