Maxunderground news unavailable

from 2 vertices to 1 vertex and other way round?

let's say I created a head that has 16 vertices, but I want to connect it to a 8 vertices neck.Can I create multiple Triangle? Or is there a right way to do this? Thanks

I don't know much about organic topology, but the name of the game is to control the flow of your edge loops while maintaining quads..

There are a few ways to do this, but this is one I have most commonly seen used-





EDIT: But I really wouldn't use this method by the neck due to improper deformations during animation (I'd think unless this method was spread out over a wider surface it might cause issues)...

It sounds like you are pretty new to this. I would recommend dropping your custom project for now and doing a few tutorials...

ohh cool I'm gonna try that way out. never knew it can be done this way. thanks. XD

*edit* ohh I've been following tutorial before this and the vertices problem never cross my mind until I try to do this project. but I will try the tutorial out, it seems to be very detail as compared to the ones I followed in the pass. Thanks. ^^

If your character's not shirtless/topless then the easiest thing to do is not bother with any tricks and just end the mesh at the collar line, then start a new mesh for the arms or body or whatever.
