Maxunderground news unavailable

Vertices are always showing even at base level?

I have been using the graphite tool 'step build' to make some topology around a mesh. After finishing it just seems to ALWAYS show vertices no matter what mode I'm in. Have tried reconverting it to poly, copying it, restarting etc

Any ideas anyone?

I'm not on max right now, but from what I can recall, under the EP properties option (modify tab, EP selected), there is an option right by constraints (FACE, EDE, NONE, VERT for constraints), that allows you to turn what is called (from what I remember) multiSelect, which allows you to select all elements of your EP at one time. Deselect that option and you should be fine..

That, or you have the verts selected in an EP below your current EP mod. If you do not get out of the vert option before moving up the stack, the verts will continue to show..

is it one of those?

Hmm I can find the constraint options but there is nothing about 'multiselect'?

closest was 'preview selection off/subObj or Multi but none of those fixed it. Thanks anyway 9krausec

If I make a new object it's fine but the mesh I've been working with won't lose the verts even if I clone the mesh

Check in the object properties that vertex ticks is unchecked.
If it's not that, draw a big box, align it to your mesh (pivot to pivot), convert it to epoly, attach the mesh, go to element sub-object and delete the box. That should solve it.
