Vertex movement question
Is it possible to move vertexes relative to an object? For example I'm creating a hydraulic cylinder. I've already rotated it to an angle. I'd like to move some vertexes to make it longer (assume I cant use extrude because that defeats the purpose of my question). If I use the standard move tool it will bend my cylinder. I know this is probably max 101 but hey, I'm still learning...

ugtv: no, because at sub-object level it will move the verts or whatever in their individual axis is, usually all over the place.
