Vertex Animation Problem!!! HELP!!!!
show user profile  elchivatto
Hello guys! First of all sorry for my english. I had a problem tryin to modify an alembic object imported from Daz Studio to 3ds max. I want to fix some deformations and change the geometry using the edit poly modifier, for example change the nose size of my model, but when the alembic animation start, and the model rotates, the deformation created in the 1st frame turns weird, and dont follows correctly. Do you know how can I change the geometry of the alembic object correctly??? I need to make some accurate corrections whitout losing the vertex animation!!! Thanks in advance!!!

What Alembic format are you using to exchange data? Does Daz Studio use the newer Ogawa format? I'm not intimately familiar with the modification of Alembic files, but as for the deformation issues, could this have to do with scene scale?

There's not enough information in DAZ Studio, it just say this

Filename :
C:/Program Files/DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4/plugins/dzalembic.dll
Name :
Alembic Exporter
Author :
DAZ 3D, Inc
Version :
1.0.2.118

Exports in the Alembic format. Provides a user options dialog to select the types of objects to be exported.
The Alembic library is under the BSD New license.

Do you know if there's anyway to export the vertex animation in another format (if exist) using 3ds studio or another software??? or what else can I do to edit the vertex animation?
