Hello there..

just like my classmate niklas elling i have spent the summer making a ww2 game character for my portfolio since im looking for an internship by the end of the year.

the character is made to be modular and therefor every part of the character is separate and have there own texture maps, and therefor the polycount is a bit high but it worked well when i put it in crysis..

the textures are almost done to the point where i only have some work left to do with the specular on the pants..

please tell me what you think and what i can do better next time..

i know the render and light setup is a bit of..

Good work also, the AO pass is rather over the top I feel , could tone that down a bit. the face seems a bit too specular too.

Shared hands huh? :)

I think the meshflow could follow the creases a bit more like in your friends model, the sillouette doesnt seem as well formed as his, but good work nonetheless

Not bad.
The facial area looks kindof weird though, and it looks like his spine is dislocated from the hip.

yeah hands look identicle lol

get a nice skin shader on it, that one is awful and is killing your model. the model is very good, and would look much better if his face wasnt shining/reflecting like that

couple of edge loops round the mouth could be removed without affecting the shape at all
ears look similar too- same base mesh maybee

is it for anything? these guys going to fight in trenches somwhere?

hands are same yes, i stole em from niklas^^.. but not the ears.. other than hands we have different basemeshes.. might need to lower the specularity on the face then.. looks alot better in the viewport^^

It's hard to tell but are the sleeves mirrored?

I think everything seems to be a bit to reflective. Particularly the face as it has been mentioned, but even the pants seem to have very bright highlights, otherwise I think it looks excellent.

I think this looks really excellent. The use of texturing to create the creases and pockets etc... are really spot on.

I think it looks amazing. Hands are a little zombie-ish, but I like the face... looks like a painting.
