UNWRAP UVW texture issue

Software version is 2017.

I haven't done unwrapping in years so please bear with me in regards to what I'm trying to accomplish. I created a logo to be used in a "augmented reality" environment. While I can model the shape no problem, I have a cylinder and a flat line version. The "texture" is the logo itself which I put on a 1024x1024 jpeg file. I mapped it out in the edit uv wrap and everything is fitted and scaled to match correctly. Now i'm still learning this new material editor thing that this version uses (keep in mind i haven't used this program since 2006) But more or less I have a "standard" texture and with the diffuse bitmap of the "texture" file itself. It doesn't show up as a mapped layout but a repeated version of the texture. If i scale it to the size of the texture (default being 48) it just makes my texture black. It is probably a stupid thing i'm missing but I've followed 4 different tutorials online and I keep getting this result as if the software doesn't recognize my mapping coordinates. I tried searching for solutions without any luck, probably since I don't know what i'm really trying to explain. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated. I also can stream on twitch.tv to show what i'm doing in realtime to show what i'm doing.

Post images, or post a link to your file so someone can look at it. Your explanations aren't clear for me, and I've used max for right at 20 years.

First suggestion... have you accidentally checked the 'face map' option box, in the basic shader parameters in the material editor?

Thank you for the quick responses here is a link to the file itself and the texture that it was mapped to in UVW Unwrap. And yes i have double checked the "face map" option.

Its a 2d image that i created in photoshop for the logo, now i'm trying to map it on the cylinders so it looks like the 2d image for our augmented reality business cards and future projects down the line. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I wanted to open it, but I use Max 2013 version, and I wasn't able to open it. If you want, you can save as and upload it again.

By the way, if you are not familiar or not comfortable with the slate material editor, you can change back to old one. In the material editor press modes>compact material editor.
The new one is better in my opinion, it's the same as compact in principle, it's just displayed in nodes.

Maybe just post images if you don't want to export to .3ds. Max creators didn't allow 'backward compatibility' with older versions.
