UE4 - Oculus Rift - Tips, tricks and then some (asking)

I hope everyone is doing splendid.

I'm going to be putting together a UE4 Oculus demo for our company which involves one of our concept products. The concept of the demo is pretty straight forward. Have one of our products (treadmill) in simple room with a nice spotlight over the product to fade out the room.

To have anchored hotboxes over key elements of the product that expand when a distance from the camera to the point of interest is reached. Perhaps have some animation involved when the trigger is hit for each of these areas. The demo will be ran off of a decent computer to maintain frame rate.

So who wants to help me create an MMO? .. wait.. wrong thread.

I'm looking for any good recommended reading, tips, tricks, advice on Oculus DK1 to UE4 that you may have. I've never done this and have very little experience with UE4 in general. Would there be any special considerations for pulling this off or does this sound fairly straight forward?

I figured there are some UE4 and Oculus wizards on this site. Thanks in advance for any general input regarding this project. I plan to start working on this early-mid April after I get a few other work related junk out of the way.

Really, just look into UE4 tutorials on general stuff. The Oculus Rift integration is just as simple as replacing the main player camera for a special camera that holds the oculus.(there are many videotutorials on UE4)

Only guidelines for VR vs normal 3D is that you need attention to small details because you won't be able to drive your users as effectively as if you(the director/programmer) were the one controlling the camera and not the user

Good to hear that the integration is pretty straight forward! I thought that was the case from past research I did a while back shortly after the release of the Oculus DK.
