Great lighting fella and the grass is fab indeed...maybe a touch too uniform, looks like the best kept lawn in the world ! The main thing I think that would improve those first images is some shallow dof. The house at the back left is way back in the image but still in focus.

That view is awesome mate. I'm really new to all this and i'm not really sure what you mean by how you created that grass. Any chance of a more in depth expaination for a relative newbie please?

make a plane object
apply a grass texture as a flat projection ( uv coords), aswell as a colour map of grass blades add a alpha map so the grass is away from the back ground
then copy that plane over loads of times until you have a row of planes ( scale rotate some so there is a difference in the blades)
then copy that row of planes over and over until you have a nice block of grass and then copy that over and over so you have a nice field of grass

that scene looks like shit compared to your first renders from looooong ago. I'm going to be honest Im pretty sure I saw them before I was even in maxforums and was AMAZED. That new one is just like, meh. Do love the grass though.

Wankers.

I like the images, especially the grass in this one. Ignore the nay-sayers mate.

I really like this render, the colour on the white facade is especially nice as is the grass.

Might try the grass myself, see if i can get it close.

I really have to second Nik here. These are good, not perfect (but hey, then again, what is?), and the grass if fucking to die for.

Personally, since I'm more "artsy fartsy" than architectural I'd love to see that second house with the front grass in focus and the house not in focus. Perhaps some small toy in the grass to act as a focal point. That would look awesome :D
