Nice little buddy, but bloom is photographic ;)

It shows in cameras, not so much with your eyes.

Thanks timp, i thought i put that in somewhere in the 'what it is' part but i must have forgotten to put it back in after i changed the sentence...hehe.

Just so people know, bloom is photographic. The human eye can't really see it ;)

You should expand that with the glare shader from mentalray

Can't see any differences between the before and after pics, to be honest :-)

Must be me...

It's there, C0. It's subtle, a world lost on most CG artists, unfortunately.

I can only see that reflections on the first image are brighter a bit... Both look equally CG, and teapots are floating :)

The teapots will never lie flat on anything. If you look at the base of them they are curved so....yah :D hehe, thanks for the crits! Schools gonna keep me busy so the mental ray tutorial has kinda been delayed...:(

I guess this is why I am not an artist. I also cannot see any difference between the two, except that the Specular Bloom pics appear like they have a higher contrast than the no bloom pics. Too my untrained and naked eye, the non-bloom pics look "better".

My question is this. If the human eye can't really see it, the brain cannot process it. What is the point in doing it?
