Need tutorial for Pyramids as frames
show user profile  Sparkling
Hi,

I would like to build in 3ds max a frame kind based on pyramids shapes, all will be 3D printed. I have a specific shape build with primitives pyramids in 3ds max, four and three sided.

How can I make these primitive pyramids like these adding specific edges with adjusted dimension of 3 mm?

I need to make an edge to attache flat acrylics into single side, all pyramids are irregular but distance of ages is the same.

I need to adjust specific thickness of the material of 3 mm for a 3D printed model and space for 3 mm acrylic laser cut added later.

The model will be made with about fifty shapes like this.

Thank you.

Not sure about tri distribution but give Populate Panels a shot.

edit: or look into parametric arrays, curtain walls etc.
