Trying to round edges within an object.

Okay here is what I have:

And here is what I'm tryin to do:

I know it's simple and it sucks blah blah :x I'm totally suck at 3ds max right now. So I tried doing an auto smooth on the 'leg' there when it was just a line, but that didn't really give me the effect I was hopin for. As you can see I need to keep the general shape, but I need all of the edges to round out like nobody's business. A meshsmooth adds too many segments and alters the actual shape itself so that doesn't work D:

P.S:

I'll try to keep any and all questions regarding this particular file of mine in this post ^^

What you're looking for is 'chamfer'

Add an Edit Poly modifier, select your edges (the whole loop would be best), right click and press the little rectangle next to chamfer. From there you can edit your chamfer settings.

Hope that helps :)
