Is there a way to get Max to activate a change in an object (spinner value etc), when that object makes contact or passes through and area?
I've looked at the VRML sensor tools and that looks great, but I need it to work in the viewport for rendering... i'm not using particles for what i'm doing.

maybe I need to re-word this... if I modelled a sphere, then animated it moving from one point to another... is there a sensor (ie a plane or object) that when the sphere passes through it, it changes a parameter (ie material ID, or spinner)

Eeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmm wire parameters or the reaction manager would be areas I would look at.
