Can I trigger an animation sequence...
show user profile  Digital 007
Is there a way to trigger a group of animation sequences from a single point?

For example, say I have a drum and a drum stick. I create a sequence where the drumstick strikes the drum and the drum head ripples and the drum vibrates a little. I would like to be able to capture and trigger this sequence instead of having to copy the key frames over and over again whenever the drum needs to be hit.

If there isn't a method to accomplish this, are there any shortcuts or other speedy techniques to help me avoid having to copy and paste the keyframes with every beat of the drum?

Thanks for any advice

Look up "out of range" keys.

I'm familiar with the out of range types, but this would require more control. Say the drum beat varies or skips beats now and then. I would have to account for that.

The part I'm working on is a bass drum beat that speeds up from 70 bpm to 120 bpm over about a minute. I have to line up each bass drum hit to the audio track.

Actually, I think you gave me the correct advice. I looked up out of range "keys" and not "types" and it looks like it's made for non-constant sequences. This may work.

Thanks

I'm also looking at block controllers. I think this may give me a little more flexibility.
