Triangle removal

Hi folks, just wondering if someone can tell me what the best way to eliminate the triangles in the mesh below might be. Thanks

just insert a new vert in the edge you're losing, connect it to the corner nearest and weld them.

on second thoughts ignore mine. i wasn't thinking about loops etc just getting rid of it.

I would have suggested selecting and deleting, but that wouldn't be considered helpful, would it?

your main problem is all those triangle along the edge on the right.
Thats going to smooth awfully.
