Why is there no option to draw a triangle as a primative shape? Or is there and i dont know about it :/

When i draw a triangle using splines, its not straight forward to work out where the actual centre point is.

Ha! cheers guys. Seems so simple now. But having never had to draw one I wondred why there wasnt a "triangle tool". One question though how do you go about drawing an isosceles triangle this way? and still have the pivit at centre point?

Which center? Triangles have several 'centers'.

Your method requires you to pull up the vert to make it an isosceles triangle. I was looking for a method that would allow you to input data ie length of sides.

Its not a huge issue i just wondred why theres no Primative triangle option with the ability to control the lengths of all 3 sides.

because you would also have to input the angle between both sides. the last one - unless you had the perfect measure, doesn't need to be put in because it's the hypotenuse. it's just rare that all 3 sides have to be adjusted.

You could calculate the height and adjust the top vertex like he did, only with F12

Turbosmooth to get the centre point, genius.

I love learning new things.

I figure I now know about 10% - 15% of what max has to offer :)
