Yup you heard right, im having a go myself at this round, if I get time
Im going to have a go at this scene from Zoolander:

[edit2] also can anyone tell me what exactly this car is called so i can get some decent ref pics? I know its a ford as it says on the back, but I dont know the model?

modelling virtually done on the Bronco, exaclty 400 tris but I would like to find 8 tris from so where so i can model the steering column and sterring wheel, they will most probably come out of the windscreen as that is double thick ness at the mo and welded onto the body, leaving it intersecting will give me a few more.
The transparent plane on the front will be an opacity mapped plane for the bull-bars and square lamps, the head light are just about visible behind it

Bet u wish you could lose the ground-facing polies? Looking nice man i can see why u`v done things the way u`v done them.. How about one quad for the whole windscreen area and just map the sills?

the sills arent actually taking any more polys than than if they werent there at all, they are simply entended faces where i have broken the verts at the join and moved the edge out (both around the 'door' frame and the wheel arches. ) the edges you see that look like they are separate tris are in fact the edges of the edge underneath showing through
Yeah I will probably go for a single quad for the screen that will then get rid of all the others plus close up the gap where it meets the body.
If i have to i can take the front wheel arch right accross the underneath of the body which will save numerous tris, can do that to the back as it will show in the seating area.

I`m stuck between ghostbusters either the courtroom scene, the library or one with ecto-1 in it (but i can`t find any scenes with ecto AND the gang in it) - either that or the underpass scene from Clockwork Orange.
I reckon if u didn`t extrude those edges back on the windscreen it`d be worth the 8+ tri`s..

Right ive given it some serious attention and optimised and improved the whole look, its now smoother due to chamfers around the edge, has a steering wheel & column and is 1 tri lower than before! :)
