show user profile  mathias-soeholm
Hello :D
This is my very first time participating in these tournaments.

I really like the subject "Derelict" even though i did not know what it was.
So i thought, why not try?

My idea is pretty basic, a derilict locomotive scene.

The train so far:

And if there's some modeling details that you think are very important please tell me :D

- Im trying to create bolts all the way around the cylinder shaped thing:

Can i use array or something to do it easy?

that's easy. move the pivot point to the center of the big cylinder. then do an array and ajust the rotation of the bolt.

... or, to keep it low poly (if you care), you could map the rivet or rivet pattern into a bump or normal map, then tile that texture around the cylinder.

Thanks! Now I have to find another idea :/

But that's a nice looking model. :)
For the rivets, I'd suggest to instance the same one all over the place. That way you can transform them independantly and there's only one object stored in memory.
