To all you smokers !
show user profile  Cylon
Hey all,

I just wanted all you smokers on here to know about something I've recently tried.

www.intellicig.com

I've been smoking since I was 15 and I'm now 35. I've always wanted to quit at some point in my life, but it's not easy.

Well, last week I ordered one of these products and I've got to say, in a nutshell..... it works.

I got mine last Thursday, and since I've had it I havn't touched a real cig, and I don't think I will ever again. This thing tastes better and is actually more enjoyable. Ok I did smoke just one, just to compare.

No Tobacco, no harmfull chemicals, no risk of cancer, and a lot less expensive.

I think this really is a life saving device, so if you do smoke, atleast give it a try, you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

Please don't think this is spam, it's not. I'm telling every smoker I know to give these things a try !

hahaha.....

The idea is too user this and then slowly quit using this or what?
It cuts out all the bad crap from cigs.....but still feeds you nicotine,....which you need to ween off of at some point?

edit: I also believe that nicotine in and of itself is potentially a cancer risk

The idea really is that it's a substitute with no real harmfull effects.

My friend, who is 12 years older than me, and not in good health was recommended to try these by his Doctor. Rather than read up online what people where saying I asked him if they where any good before I ordered mine.

You can start with a higher concentration of nicotine and work your way down to zero. I think this is the case with patches but I've never tried them.

I think the idea of just holding one in your hand is part of the problem, (it's psychological) especially when your sitting at your PC all day long working with 3Ds max.

I often find myself looking for my ashtray before realising it's not a real Cigarette. They get warm and even the tip lights up etc..

I've heard that chewing nicotine gum may cause mouth cancer Dr Jim, but with these it goes straight to your lungs. I'm no expert, I'm just reading up online, but lung cancer isn't caused by the nicotine, it's the other crap you get with Tabacco.

So for someone looking to get addicted, would you suggest they start on these? I mean it wont give you cancer and it tastes nice, sounds like pepsi.

Well for someone who smokes regular cancer sticks, it's a much better alternative. 4,000 less chemicals has to be a good thing.

Yes, but its the nicotine that makes sure you keep taking in those other 4000 ...

If you want to quit, then quit. Its that easy.

It's not that easy though Spoon, if it was then thousands of people wouldn't be dying everyday from smoking.

I do intend to quit entirely, but I'm trying this method.

Unfortunately I'm on the other side of the fence with this, I had one, well.. a variant (Gamucci). Lasted me about a week before I just got frustrated with it and ended up back on the real deal.

The main issue that I took with it, was the fact that there was no "hit" in the back of the throat, and the exhale of steam or whatever it was, was just too pitiful. That and the fact that I smoke rollups, not straight cigarettes... the difference in size is drastic. so, with these elements combined I was simply getting nowhere near a simulation of what I craved.

Also, and this is possibly why I will never quit for a long time yet. But cigarettes are a lot more than just simply smoking to me. I don't just crave the ciggy, I crave the break. I never smoke indoors so when I'm at home I get to sit out on the balcony with a cuppa, and at work it acts like a time out, time for me to stand around outside and think stuff over. You know how some people get good ideas on the toilet or in the shower? Well all of mine come from cigarette breaks... and that is most unfortunate for me.

I wish you the best of luck though man, may you be stronger than myself.

Cheers Dave,

Another friend of mine has been smoking these for a few years, and he also smokes roll ups. He reckons it's made him cut down from 20 -30 a day to less than 10.

These things are supposedly improving all the time, they are getting smaller and much closer to the real thing.

The ones I'm smoking (Intellicig) are definetly giving me a throat hit. I have a pack of regular high cartridges and I've ordered a bottle of liquid for refills. There are different strengths, (extra high)but the ones I'm on (regular high) are definetly giving me more of a throat hit than my lambert and butler.

It may have been the brand you where on.

Good luck Cylon. Hope that works out for you.
I quit 18 months ago. I chewed the gum for a few weeks and that
definitely made the deference for me. I found I would just think of cigarettes and nothing else
some times and I'd chew a piece of nicotine gum and it would go away.

But basically , what ever works for you is all that matters.
