Hey guys, Animated Mesh here
Lately Ive been lamenting that gallerie abominatehttp://www.jackals-forge.com/abom.html
hasn't taken submissions in years.And I've thought of what a service it was. I'd go there and see some things and man would it be encouraging. "I'm utter crapola..but ..I aint that bad"
Here at Maxforums, we oft-times enjoy a good giggle at some N00b masterpieces.
"Check out my hot-shit artwork."
It's funny, we laugh, we try to help. <3
But sometimes we forget our own humble beginnings, when we thought our turd was pretty.
So, I thought this would be a neat idea for a thread.
Let's post up our absolute worst.
That noob render that wowed you so long ago.
I think it might help to encourage people who arent as advanced as you are now, that with patience, practice, and dedication you can go from shit to shinola.
You may be embarrased by your noob render. Who isnt? Grow a sense of humor. Laugh at yourself while we laugh at you, then you can look at our noob stuff and laugh at us.
I've seen so many of you grow to be excellent artists, but i rememeber that one time when...
Be confident in your skills now, and in time you will laugh at your present skills as you continue to grow and become better. By seeing where you've come from, we can better realize how far you've come.
Participate, it will encourage others to do so.

Great idea AM.
When I first discovered GA, I laughed till I cried. You see such amazing stuff on forums everywhere, it's good to once in a while think - "well at least I'm not THAT bad!"

i made much worse than this but it is all i could find for now
the alien was completely modeled with blobs because i didn't know how to model yet and meshmodeling in max was next to impossible too
i'll see if i can find worse than this

This was done back in 1998....was my first professional contract.
Its the worst thing I could find in my archives.
Hold the phone....I just found something back from 1996...this was the very first action scene I had ever created...(had been using max for 3 months).
