Texture issue...

Hello. im trying to get a "line" texture to follow the curvature of an object. i need some advice i cant figure it out.

try the modifier "add uvw map", and choose a shape according to the shape of your object.

its a curved flat object. im trying to get the line texture to bend at the curves like road lines. ive tried all types of UVW mapping. i think i just missed something.

any other suggestions?

its just a matter of unwrapping it properly. if its a curved flat object. add unwrap uvw and straighten it out in the map. the texture will follow the object.

unwrap uvw mod, select the faces and apply a plannar projection map, open the uvw editor, relax the verts and render the uvw template.. now u can take that into ps or w/e and do any type of texturing u need
