Techy Screensaver
show user profile  3D-Dingo
Hi guys, long time since i posted anything (3D or otherwise) sorry about that, been very busy irl sorting out a wedding etc lol.

anyway i have just been re-re-rewatching Iron Man (because its awesome) and it got me thinking.
I would love a screensaver which makes my pc look all futuristic and such, likes its showing off some blueprints or doing some calculations etc.
Now i dont want it iron man related, i am just using this as a guide.

If you guys know of any that would be very grateful.

dunno about screensavers, but checkout wallbase.cc for some amazing wallpapers. just type in whatever you want (eg, "Iron man" returns some fucking sweet results)

for desktop customization, google search "Rain Meter" that has some very futuristic/hacker/tech looking customizations which I love to use.

He who says it cannot be done is interrupting the man doing it.

Do people still use screensavers these days? I have my monitors just go off when not in use for 5 minutes

On a related note. I have two 22" widescreen displays. Can I have a separate wall paper for each one? I haven't found a way to do it :(

Liondebt, what you want is a program called ultramon, it will allow you to do all kinds of awesome stuff with your monitors

and yes, I for one would love a good screensaver, I have my 50" plasma as a second display and a screen saver is important to stop burn in.

Double wallpaper:

1) Note down both your monitor resolutions if different.
2) Open your main wallpaper in Photoshop.
3) Add the second monitor width to your existing width (So if one monitor is 1920 x 1200 and the other is 1600 x 1200, the total width would be 3520.
3) Extend the canvas to the left or right depending on where you want the second image.
4) Paste your second image into the blank space.
5) Save image and go to your desktop properties.
6) Select new wallpaper and set it tile. It will now tile across both screens and fit exactly.
