Swithching to frame-ticks when changing views.

I'm doing a bit of modeling, I set the scene to 2 frames, apply material to model, auto-key the opacity of the material to be 0 at frame 1, so I can quickly switch to wire by advancing the frame, alt-X still shades the model so I prefer this method.

But when I switch views, it dropping to frame-ticks for some reason...driving me nuts, any idea what I'm doing wrong ??

2014 sp5 btw.

Hmmm. I'm using 2014 and it works for me.

Have you tried split screen? I have that set up and I just dump the (already opacity keyed) material into both viewports and when I switch frames both screens' opacity changes.

If that doesn't work, maybe you need to install a hotfix or software update?

Can't figure it out, could be a shortcut issue, It's bloody annoying, also seems random, workaround is to press the "<" and jump to the last frame, think I'll just go for a full reinstall, there's a few quirky things started to happen that rather than fix, I've just been putting up with for the last few months, with the intention to sort out, but never got round to it :)

Been a bit busy recently...hard to find down time to fix.

I recently started using a unifying receiver for my mouse and kb, maybe has something to do with it, there sometimes can be a delay on key presses, especially in Max.

edit: "Have you tried split screen? " Nope I work full screen 99.9% of the time.

Nice method there but unfortunately can't help with the issue.
