Swimming pool exterior
show user profile  rob@dynamic
Hi Guys and girls,

Here's my latest exterior. It's one I started ages ago, so thought I'd crack on and finish it.

It's just a personal piece. Usual suspects used, Max and Mental Ray.

I'm keen to get some crits, also do you think it's better with or without the pool cover?

Thanks

First one for sure.

Camera angle and the background somehow don't match for me.

Nice light ! remove those lines on the building behind.

this is an odd image to look at.

i'd agree your horizon line and perspectives are quite wrong, and the clouds reflecting in the water are too sharp and dont match up to the clouds in the sky for some reason. i'd also get rid of this huge shadow covering all the focal points in the scene.

The shadow of the tree on the pool doesn't sit right with me.
The barbecue's (I think) materials need some work.
Looks to me like the reflection in the upper window isn't a reflection and is just looking through to the sky behind (might be me though)

Aside from this, looks bloody impressive mate :)

love the colour difference from the first one.. more contrasty and saturated, give a much better feel for the image... good work.

That woman looks flat and too small. Get rid of her or find another one. :)

Cheers Sange, the women is actually life size, i think she just appears small as she's set back from the camera. I agree about her looking flat though.

Anyone else got an opinion on her? or any crits please?

Thanks

I think that was a mis-type. Sangre meant 'fit' not 'flat'. She does however look as if she's not graded the same as the rest of the image. The sky is the main thing that looks off to me. I hope you dont mind but i did a very quick ps fiddle...

I think if possible i'd get a different bg image in there.
